Where can I find information that compares the treatments for organ-confined, Gleason 7 prostate cancer?

Hello PCMUSTGO: Choosing your best prostate cancer options first requires understanding your Clinical Diagnosis. There is a big difference in Gleason 7 prostate cancer, from relatively low-intermediate risk, small focus, Gleason 3+4=7, that is easy to treat, to high-intermediate risk, extensively involved, Gleason 4+3=7, that can become a big problem 'down-the-road' and needs aggressive management. Important 'clues' include; the Digital Rectal Exam Clinical Stage, PSA History, Gleason score, and individual biopsy core data that defines how extensive is the tumor in the prostate.

To learn about risk stratification read Risk Assessment for Prostate Cancer PDF http://www.prostate-cancer.org/pcricms/sites/default/files/PDFs/Is13-4_p3-7.pdf

Nathan:

Thank you for your response. When I try to access the two PDFs you included, only the first page appears and the window freezes. After a short time, I receive an Adobe Reader message saying "There was an error processing a page. A file I/O error has occured.

The PCRI website has been experiencing a problem recently with displaying PDFs using some web browsers. I can view them with an iPAD and some older versions of Internet Explorer but not with some IE 8 & 9.
I believe you can download the PDFs from our PUBLICATIONS page http://www.prostate-cancer.org/pcricms/node/59. You can right-click on the PDF link and select "Save target as".
We apologize for this inconvenience, our web developers are seeking a solution to this problem.
